Cookie Policy
1. What cookies are
Cookies and similar technologies are small data stores used by websites to remember preferences or support basic functions. Related browser storage (local storage / session storage) can serve a similar purpose.
2. What we use
On this Site we use:
- Necessary preference storage — the local storage key
cookieConsentrecords whether you accepted or declined non-essential cookies via our banner. - Session storage for the educational notice — remembers that you closed the magazine notice in the current browser session.
We do not currently implement separate analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking stacks on this Site. If that changes, we will update this policy and the consent flow.
3. Consent mechanism
On a first visit, a cookie notice appears after a short delay. Choosing “Accept” or “Necessary only” stores your preference in cookieConsent. The notice does not reappear while that preference remains stored.
4. Browser settings
You can clear site data or block cookies through your browser settings. Clearing storage will remove cookieConsent and may show the notice again.
5. Consequences of disabling
Because we do not rely on non-essential tracking cookies for core content, declining or clearing preferences mainly affects whether the banner reappears. Educational pages remain available.
6. Retention
The cookieConsent value remains until you clear it. The educational notice flag lasts for the browser session only.
